An adaptation of a teaching method often used in professional schools, The Use of Case Studies and Group Discussion in Science Education is a “how-to” guide for making meaningful case studies the focus of discussion in the science classroom. The video takes an inside look at one of Dr. Clyde Herreid’s biology class case study discussions, demonstrating enhanced student engagement and critical thinking. Thus, it makes a compelling case for discarding the straight lecture method frequently used in higher education.
